Add to Personal Bookmarks Number of Modalities is designed to develop and refine knowledge and understanding of the physical and physiological principles, which govern the therapeutic application of thermal agents, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy as they are used in a clinical setting. Students will demonstrate skill in the application of modalities based upon knowledge of human anatomy and the physiological effect of each particular modality as well as effects, parameters, indications, and contraindications for each modality. Students will discuss and explain indications for modalities as related to specific signs, symptoms, and disease processes. Additional $75 fee required. (Winter) Three hours lecture each week. Three Credits. Three billable hours.

Prerequisites: PTA101, PTA111, PTA121
