AVTN 2620 - Instrument Pilot Flight AVTN 2620 - Instrument Pilot Flight (2L,6LB) Teaches the application of aircraft altitude control, flight maneuvers, and flight based solely on instrument reference. (Stage I-II). The course also includes advanced navigation, IFR/ATC procedures, and night flying. Requires flight and hood instruction as listed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for an instrument rating. Students will receive an S/U grade based on the results of the Instrument Rating Practical Test flight as required by the FAA. Students must obtain a third-class (or higher) FAA medical certificate prior to the start of flight training.
