AVT 205 - Commercial Pilot Flight AVT 205 - Commercial Pilot Flight Passing the FAA Commercial Pilot Practice Exam is required to obtain a Commercial Certificate and successfully complete the course. The course also provides instruction and flight experience including preflight/postflight briefings and the dual and solo flights necessary to complete the approved hours for the commercial pilot exam. The FAA requires a minimum of 60 flight hours in this course; however, the actual flight hours may vary based on student proficiency.
