AHL 725 - Surgical Technology in Practice for AAD-ST AHL 725 - Surgical Technology in Practice for AAD-ST 4 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s). This course is designed to provide the practicing surgical technologist in the Accelerated Alternative Delivery Distance Learning Surgical Technology Series (AAD-ST) with a review of surgical anatomy and pathology and basic, intermediate, and advanced surgical procedures as outlined in the Association of Surgical Technology’s Core Curriculum. Topics to be covered include review of anatomy of the major organ systems and related pathologies that require surgical procedures, supplies and instrumentation for the procedure, steps in the procedure, and the surgical technologist’s duties during the procedure.
