AVMT 231 - Instrument Pilot Ground School AVMT 231 - Instrument Pilot Ground School 4 Credit(s). Provides all required ground instruction for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Instrument Rating. This course addresses both airplane and helicopter topics including flight by reference to instruments, navigation systems, instrument flight rules, weather, departures and arrivals, approach procedures, flight planning, safety, communications, and flight physiology. Course every fall, spring and may be during additional sessions. Prerequisite(s): AVMT 131 and approval of the Aviation Program Director Common Course Outline: AVMT 231 CCO
