MORS 111 - Embalming Theory I MORS 111 - Embalming Theory I 2 Credit(s). Offers an intensive study of the basic fundamentals of the embalming process; covers the purpose of embalming, modes of death, signs of death, expert tests for death, postmortem physical and chemical changes, ethics of embalming, and laws of decomposition. Course every fall, spring and may be during additional sessions. A minimum of 45 hours is necessary to qualify for the National Board Examination.
