Introduces students to a developmental view of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, socio-economic, and cultural issues of aging. Students identify issues and concerns of typical aging, pathology and the environmental factors that limit function and independence in order to develop intervention strategies for safe mobility and fall prevention for the elderly. Additionally, students come to understand the importance of advocating for the aging population. Course once a year (fall or spring). Prerequisite(s): OCTA 201 and OCTA 220
