VETT 208 - Large Animal Disease VETT 208 - Large Animal Disease 2 Credit(s). Introduces the most common infectious and non-infectious diseases of large animal species, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, swine and ratites. The causative agent of these diseases will be identified, and emphasis will be placed on the care of the animal and prevention of the disease. Topics include animal physiology, basic discussion of immunology and vaccination, and proper husbandry and how it relates to animal well-being. Diseases of public health importance and zoonotic potential are also discussed. Course once a year (fall or spring).
