This course provides students with theoretical and practical aspects of ultrasound physics and instrumentation. Wave form, propagation, velocity, wave length, acoustic impedance, reflection and rarefaction are discussed. Components of the ultrasound imager are examined as well as recording devices and basic Doppler principles. Lecture: 3 hours, Lab: 2 hours
