ENGL 2240 — - Literary Magazine Creation, Design and Production ^

This course introduces students to the process of editing and producing a literary magazine for public distribution, print and digital, thus providing students with the practical experience of producing a literary magazine for a real-world audience that exists beyond the classroom. This course will enhance students' artistic appreciation of writing, art and/or photography, teach them analytical and critical thinking skills as well as digital skills, e.g., students learn to use software such as Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, and teach them how to work collaboratively and in leadership positions on the Editorial Board. The course aims to provide students work-based learning, with interactions with industry professionals. Lecture: 2 hrs.
