HMNS 2220 — - Social Work Program and Policy Analysis
This course develops students’ knowledge of the social, economic, and political forces that shape social welfare policies and programs across micro, mezzo, and macro levels of practice. Students critically examine how policies are developed, implemented, and evaluated, and analyze their impact on individuals, families, and communities. Emphasis is placed on building both understanding and skills in policy analysis and advocacy to promote equity and social justice within social work practice. Note: Grade of C or better required for Human Services program students. Lecture: 3 hours Prerequisite(s): HMNS 2110
