HSTO 1320 — - Histotechnology II^
This course explores the principles and techniques associated with routine histological procedures as well as laboratory mathematics. The histology laboratory prepares tissues from surgical procedures and autopsies for microscopic examination by a pathologist. This course provides students with an opportunity to develop entry-level skills under the supervision of a licensed histotechnician, in a clinical setting. Skills are obtained through observation and performance of basic histological procedures. Students will also attend lecture to provide the opportunity to integrate theory and practice to various clinical scenarios. Lecture: 3 hours, Other: 8 hours Prerequisite(s): HSTO 1310
