LAWS 1200 — - Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (Rhode Island Focus)
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of land use, planning, and zoning, with a particular emphasis on Rhode Island’s statutory and regulatory framework. Topics include the historical context of land use regulation, constitutional limitations on government control of private property, state enabling legislation, and municipal zoning authority.
