This is a course designed to provide students with opportunities to participate in a musical ensemble, perform various styles of jazz and develop their improvisational ability. Note: Instrumentation and stylistic direction of the ensemble may vary from semester to semester. Four credits of this ensemble may be counted toward the A.F.A. degree ensemble requirement. Additional credits are counted as electives. Prerequisite: Technical proficiency on an instrument and audition during the first week of classes.
