This course introduces the student to the social, psychological, and physiological changes associated with the aging process with the intent of promoting safety and maintaining optimal levels of health. Nursing management of common health issues that often affect older adults are addressed. Lecture: 2 hours Prerequisite(s): NURS 1010 (may be taken concurrently) and (NURS 1061 (may be taken concurrently) or NURS 1061P) and (BIOL 2202 (may be taken concurrently) or A & P II >= C or BIOL 1020 or Biol 1020 >=C for Nursing)
