RENL 1030 — - Renal Dialysis Technology II
This course is designed to provide students with information concerning the principles of renal dialysis. The skills critical to the recognition of complications or abnormal situations as well as the appropriate responses are stressed. An examination of previously discussed patient care skills and monitoring procedures relative to emergency situation is reviewed. Emphasis is placed on standards and regulations pertinent to water treatment, quality control issues and workplace safety. Theoretical information is supplemented with clinical observation. Written case presentations, as they relate to the dialysis patient, is required. Lecture: 2 hours, Lab: 4 hours, Other: 24 hours Prerequisite(s): RENL 1020 (may be taken concurrently) Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) The Patriot Battalion ROTC Program is a commissioning path for future officers in the US Army. Before registering for courses, students are required to contact [email protected] for more information. CCRI students may participate subject to space availability, Program Director approval, and must meet defined eligibility requirements to enroll in the ROTC Program. Additionally, physical training (PT) three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30-7:30am) and some weekend trainings are required. Military Science courses are maintained, offered, and taught at Providence College.
