EDU 2280 - Strategies for Social-Emotional Development in Early Childhood Education EDU 2280 - Strategies for Social-Emotional Development in Early Childhood Education This course focuses on strategies for fostering the development of self-regulation, positive relationships, and welcoming communities in early childhood settings. Students learn the importance of their own self-regulation as well as using research-based methods for supporting the needs of diverse individuals. Emphasis will be placed on the theory and practice of guidance and communication as it relates to building self-esteem, self-control, and pro-social behaviors in children, including those with disabilities and emotional-behavioral challenges.
