MEC 1320 - Manufacturing Technology MEC 1320 - Manufacturing Technology This course introduces students to manufacturing processes through an investigation of the basics of production. Students explore the types of machining, manufacturing planning, production control, and product distribution and learn the product life cycle from conception through distribution. The course focuses on the technologies used in production processes, including basic power systems, energy transfer systems, machine operation, and control. Students have the opportunity to take the Manufacturing Processes and Production Certification exam and the Maintenance Awareness Certification exam through the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC).
