Microbiology Lab introduces the student to methods for studying microbes including various types of microscopy, staining techniques, transformation and culture methods. Students will participate in lab experiments that stress the importance of microbe diversity, their unique physical and chemical growth requirements, and appropriate identification processes. Students are required to spend additional time in the lab to monitor lab results on non-lab days. Corequisite(s): BIO 200
