BIP101 — Introduction to Biotechnology (SL)
Semester all Only Introduction to Biotechnology studies the principles and applications of biotechnology. Topics include genes and gene regulation, protein production, and recombinant DNA technologies. These technologies are discussed as they apply to plants and animals, the medical field, forensics, and the environment. The laboratory portion will include biotechnology techniques and experiments designed to reinforce concepts discussed in lecture. Corequisite(s): BIO 130 , BIO 131 , EGL 101 , MAT 127 or MAT 191
