Introduction to Exceptional Children and Youth is an introductory survey of the field of special education in which the psychological, sociological, behavioral, and physical characteristics of exceptional children and youth are explored. Emphasis is placed on characteristics, issues, laws, and educational approaches to teaching the exceptional child. Prerequisite(s): EDU 101 or EDU 131
