Semester Every Other Spring - Odd, Alternates with EGL 210 Topics in World Literature (H) places Western and non-Western works of literature in dialogue, focusing on a particular theme, time period, or genre. By featuring works of literature from five continents, the course will analyze the ways culture does and does not inform aesthetic decisions and historical interpretations. The class will address questions about how dominant narratives are created, challenged, and revised, as well as address meaningful commonalities in the literature of disparate cultures. Prerequisite(s): C or higher in EGL 102
