Semester ummer Only Clinical Lab PN is the clinical companion to LPN 204. The primary setting is acute care where students are provided the opportunity to increase proficiency in practical nursing procedures, while integrating theoretical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the nursing process, into the practice of nursing. Secondary settings may include the college lab, inpatient and/or outpatient settings with observational experiences of maternal, newborn, and pediatric clients with a focus on the issues of childrearing/childbearing families. Clinical lab experiences also focus on clients experiencing emotional and/or psychiatric stressors concurrent with medical and surgical stressors.
