Semester all Only Thermodynamics will introduce students to the interaction between heat and mechanical energy in materials and machines and its application to mechanical systems. Topics covered include first and second laws of thermodynamics, gas power cycles, refrigeration cycles, and the application of thermodynamic principles to energy systems design. Prerequisite(s): PHY 218 and PHE 211
