PSC140 — Introduction to Ocean Studies with Lab (SL)

Semester Every Other Fall Introduction to Ocean Studies with Lab is a study of the world’s oceans focusing on properties and circulation of the ocean, and some interactions between the ocean and components of the Earth system. The human/societal impacts on, and responses to, those interactions will be examined. Physical, chemical, geological, and biological aspects of the oceans will be explored. The laboratory exercises are designed to reinforce concepts presented in lecture by having students access and interpret a variety of environmental information, including recent observational data. Prerequisite(s): EGL 093 , MAT 092, or MAT 097
