BCT 297 — Externship in Building Construction
*1 5 Weeks (Total hour commitment varies from 1 35 hrs to 280 hrs based on the nature of the project / experience. This number will be determined by Department Chair prior to course registration.) The externship option gives a student the opportunity to apply prior learning in a professional setting off campus. Students may propose an externship site or choose from a list of established externship partners, but regardless all Course Descriptions 147 www.cmcc.edu 2026 • 2027 Course Descriptions placements require Department Chair approval. Students will be responsible for scheduling/ transportation to fulfill required number of contact hours and completion of course requirements. All externships subject to department chair approval.
