CPT 256 — Introduction to Game Level Design

Key topics include game engine software, interface navigation, level design, object creation, visual scripting, character behavioral control, Heads Up Display (HUD) and menu design, audio, and gameplay mechanics. Students will explore the business, social, and personal aspects of games while developing gameplay using a popular commercial game engine, such as Unreal. The course features collaborative projects, culminating in a playable build that focuses on game narrative and design. instructor permission.
