CRJ 257 — Community Policing
(3 Lecture 0 Lab 0 Shop) 3 Hrs./Wk. (3 Hrs. Lecture) *1 5 wks. This course will present a modern-day perspective on the evolving partnership between police and citizens in solving community problems. Subject matter will include a balance of theory and hands-on practice, and students will engage in supervised team-building activities with youths who participate in the Auburn Police Activities League (P.A.L.). We will explore how law enforcement serves as a safety net for a variety of social issues, and students will be exposed to some of the community resources utilized by police agencies. of C or higher in CRJ 10 1.
