CRJ 291 — Fitness Training for Law Enforcement

This course consists of an intensive physical regimen designed to prepare students for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) administered by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Topics that will be covered include develop healthy lifestyles around shift work, stress management, mental agility, personal safety, burnout, and nutrition for optimal performance in police work. Students will maintain a fitness and nutrition journal to help develop positive lifestyle habits. An earned associate degree or higher with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in criminal justice or related field.
