Lab)*1 5 wks This course will introduce to the application of design principles and methods pertaining to commercial retail and hospitality projects. Students will learn to meet specific client needs and requirements, select appropriate finishes, furniture and fixtures, and comply with code and regulation requirements for public space pertaining to health, safety, welfare, universal and sustainability design issues. Emphasis on space analysis and planning, coordination of furnishings and equipment, design function, and aesthetics of interior space in relation to individual and group needs. The integration of computer technology will be used as a tool for design. with a grade of C or higher.
