132 www.cmcc.edu 2026 • 2027 Social Sciences (SSC) (ALSO AVAILABLE 100% ONLINE) Program Description The Associate in Arts degree in Social Sciences is an interdisciplinary program that examines the study of human behavior in a broad spectrum of understandings, insights, and appreciations. The program combines approaches from psychology, sociology, natural science, cultural and organizational studies to provide a foundation for transfer to a four-year institution. Career Opportunities The Social Sciences program provides graduates with a foundation of skills and knowledge to pursue careers in social work, social service agencies, case management, community corrections, public policy, public administration, and other public service- related settings.
