Basic chemistry and biology concepts are covered along with what it means to be a scientist. An in-depth examination of 1) How organs are distributed within the human body, 2) Bone physiology and anatomy, and 3) Nervous System physiology and anatomy are covered. In addition, students learn the basics of the integumentary and muscular systems. Meets NMHED General Education Area III - Science. Note(s): This course is intended for learners in the following programs: Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Sonography, and Electroneurodiagnostic Technology.
