ENGL 2570 - Modern Latin American Literature ENGL 2570 - Modern Latin American Literature 3 credit hour(s) The nature of the historical evolution of these nations had an immediate and powerful effect on the developing literature and other cultural forms, and the history of the region has continued to shape the cultural production of all Latin American countries. We will study and discuss, in the light of the region’s particular history, the major literary forms: poetry, drama, essays, short stories, and novels. We will place special emphasis on the importance of the literature as the embodiment of a tradition of emergent, multicultural voices speaking through history. Note(s): Previously ENG 2282.
