ENGT2150 — Nanoscience & Nanotechnology

ENGT 2150 - Nanoscience & Nanotechnology ENGT 2150 - Nanoscience & Nanotechnology 3 credit hour(s) Students will explore the synthesis of nanomaterials and the advanced characterization techniques used to analyze them, including Electron Microscopy (SEM/TEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Additionally, ethical, legal, and environmental considerations surrounding nanotechnology will be examined. Through lab reports, group discussions, and a final term paper and presentation on a selected nanomaterial, students will refine their critical thinking, writing, and oral communication skills, fostering a deeper understanding of the field. Theory Hours: 30

Prerequisites: CHEM1215, CHEM1215L, ENGT1012
