Emphasis is placed on improving reading skills in the context of Science and Social Studies. Informational texts and graphic literacy will be used primarily for this course. Students will practice reading texts at or above the 9th grade levels during the term. By the end of the course, students should be reading at a 9 th -11 th grade level. Theory Hours: 60
