GEOL 1110 - Physical Geology - GE GEOL 1110 - Physical Geology - GE 3 credit hour(s) The course will students learn how mountains are formed, how volcanoes erupt, where earthquakes occur, and how water, wind, and ice can shape the landscape. Students will also develop a basic understanding of the ways humans have altered the planet including our impact on natural resources and global climate change. Meets NMHED General Education Area III - Science. Note(s): Students not meeting the IRW 0980 * It is strongly recommended that students take the lab course concurrently with the lecture.
