HVAC 1115 - Refrigeration Management HVAC 1115 - Refrigeration Management 3 credit hour(s) Pre- or The course will educate the student in the proper procedures for safely conducting leak detection, evacuation, recovery and charging systems. Students will prepare for and take the Universal CFC Refrigerant Handlers Certification exam, which is required by the EPA. This certification is required to handle and service all types of refrigeration equipment containing and using refrigerants. Students must pass the exam with a 71% and be able to successfully perform evacuation, recovery, and charging of systems for Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 procedures. Theory Hours: 30
