SPED 2260 - Methods and Materials for Special Education SPED 2260 - Methods and Materials for Special Education 3 credit hour(s) Course competencies are built upon national, state, and professional standards and focus on 1) clearly identifying student learning goals, 2) developing formative assessments for learning, 3) engaging students in their own learning, and 4) differentiating for individual and diverse student needs including designing instruction based on student strengths, integrating opportunities for addressing IEP goals within content area lessons developed using grade-level standards, and developing evaluation tools for reporting student progress as related to specific learning goals. Post-baccalaureate course for teacher licensure. Theory Hours: 45
