This course is designed to provide an understanding of everyday Spanish language and to promote cultural awareness. Emphasis is placed on providing a balanced foundation in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Upon completion, students should be able to communicate in elementary Spanish, to research and experience various cultural resources, and to function in a multicultural society.
