This course emphasizes the theory, operation, diagnosis, and repair of the systems that affect engine performance. Emphasis is placed on the accurate diagnosis of malfunctions using a variety of modern test equipment and manufacturer-recommended repair procedures. Areas of study include camshaft designs, fuel systems, intake and exhaust systems, performance enhancers, diesel exhaust treatment systems, and diagnostic procedures. Prerequisite: Completion of , AUTO 1765, and AUTO 1770. (2 lect., 4 lab)
