CHEM 1030 — General Chemistry II

This is the second semester of a two-semester course dealing with the general principles of chemistry as related to inorganic and organic systems. This course sequence is intended for those majoring in science or engineering. Specific course topics include: critical thinking, chemical reactions, equilibria, solubility, acid- base, oxidation-reduction, kinetics, electrochemistry and thermochemistry. Other topics may be added if time permits. Qualitative and quantitative analytical laboratory techniques are used. The student taking this course is encouraged to concurrently enroll in Chemical Problem Solving II. Prerequisite: Completion of ; highly recommended. (3 lect., 3 lab)
