CRMJ 3050 — Cultural Diversity in Criminal Justice

This course offers a comprehensive, critical, and balanced examination of issues relating to cultural diversity including neuropsychological, generational, mental health, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, and physical ability. The student will examine strategies to encourage successful interactions and outcomes with people from these diverse populations both in the workplace and as criminal justice professionals. The student will evaluate crisis intervention techniques to improve the safety of professional service providers, individuals, and families. (3 lect.)
