In this course the student will recognize and manage selected life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) device. Following course completion the student will receive American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification, valid for two years. (0.5 lect.)
