OEAC 1287 — Outdoor Rock Climbing

This course exposes the student to the foundations of rock climbing outdoors. The student will have opportunities to climb on granite, sandstone, and limestone that will develop new skills in the areas of sport climbing, traditional climbing, belaying and following a lead climber, protection placement, lead climbing theory, mock leading, and toprope anchor construction. (2 lab)
