This course is an introduction to industrial safety and health and emphasizes PPE (personal protective equipment), chemical safety, tool safety, safe materials handling, machine safety, electrical safety, basic fire protection, health protection, and safe work practices, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration), and other regulations, as related to various occupational hazards, are also discussed.
