WELD 2655 — Gas Metal Arc Welding / Flux Cored Arc Welding on Pipe
This course introduces the student to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on pipe. Topics include modes of metal transfer, electrode identification, power sources, troubleshooting techniques, set-up, and operation. The course projects enable the student to advance their Gas Metal Arc Welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding skills on pipe. All projects are graded using the AWS B2.1 Specification for Welding Procedures and Performance Qualification. Prerequisite: Completion of , , and . (2 lect, 4 lab)
