GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
Completion of this 44-credit hour certificate will prepare students for further education or an entry-level automotive service technician position. Students learn in the classroom, in hands -on, skills -building, and lab environments. Repair training includes, but is not limited to, engines, cooling systems, brake systems, electrical systems, drive train and suspension systems, radiators, transmissions, and carburetors. Students also learn troubleshooting skills, basic management concepts, and customer service skills. Students will also be prepared to pass the Automotive Service Excellence industry certification exams that enhance employability.
