BIOL 1110 - General Biology 1 BIOL 1110 - General Biology 1 (4 Credit Hours) This course introduces the principles and concepts of biology. Emphasis is placed on basic biological chemistry, molecular and cellular biology, metabolism and energy transformation, Mendelian and molecular genetics, biotechnology, evolution, and other related topics. This course is designed for the biology or pre-professional major whose academic and professional careers demand upper-level biology courses.
