A course in which students apply skills in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding, as well as knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodology. Students use encoder and electronic health record software in a virtual lab environment to code inpatient and outpatient encounters according to official coding guidelines.
