MA 125 — Externship and Seminar for Medical Assis 4 Credits. 2 Lecture Hours. 12 Lab Hours
A course that prepares students for the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) exam required to become a Certified Medical Assistant and provides an on-site 160-hour externship experience. Topics include: review of competency skills and basic knowledge of the role and function of a medical assistant in ambulatory settings, and preparation for employment as a medical assistant.
